Learn About Our Rain/Pollinator Garden Project!

Published 07/12/17

We have an opportunity to create a rain and pollinator garden right in front of the library! With expert gardening help from local volunteers and a sustainable design landscaper, we have developed a plan and proposal to garner support and funding from town funds earmarked for the beautification of Downtown Medfield.  The Friends of MPL are already committing funds for the project and we have a line of volunteers ready to get their hands dirty. On board are the Scouts, Starbucks and Needham Bank employees, library trustees, library Friends and many civic-minded individuals who see the potential for educating our community (especially young people) about water-wise ways to garden and the importance of attracting pollinators. Please click on the links below for the full proposal, budget and supporting documents and share your opinions if you like by emailing kchin@minlib.net, subject line: rain garden.
