Programs at the Medfield Public Library

All programs are FREE thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Medfield Library. Please respect the age limits and arrive on time. For programs that require advance sign-up, you may do so online (below), in person, or by phone. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Storytimes

Our weekly storytimes combine books, music, rhymes, and movement to develop early literacy.  Join us Wednesdays or Thursdays for Storytime fun!  *No Storytimes Nov. 21 & 22, Dec. 26 & 27 and Feb. 20 & 21. 

Pattycake Place: 0-24 mos.     Wed. & Thurs. at 10:15

Toddler Time: 18-36 mos.     Wed. & Thurs. at 10:45

All Together Now: 0-36 mos.     Wed. & Thurs. at 11:15

Preschool Pageturners: 3-5 yrs.     Wed. & Thurs. at 11:45

Please choose one age appropriate session per week, so we have room for everyone in the Children’s Program Room

Enhance your little one’s love of music during this 30-minute bonding time, with songs, dance, and movement games.

Warm Winter Sing-a-long

Have fun celebrating winter with Jeannie Mack during the Holiday Stroll.  Come sing and act out songs about making snowmen, twirling around like snowflakes, sledding down hills, and drinking hot chocolate.  Join in on some merry holiday songs as well!

Parachute Play

Ring around the parachute with music, games and a craft!  Toddlers are invited to come play with their caregivers.

Read to a Dog

Kids can relax with some one on one time with a specialized reading dog.  It’s a great opportunity for emergent readers to share books with a non-judgmental audience.  Dogs will simply love you and listen!  Bring your favorite book or pick one from our collections.
