Programs at the Medfield Public Library

All programs are FREE thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Medfield Library. Please respect the age limits and arrive on time. For programs that require advance sign-up, you may do so online (below), in person, or by phone. Feel free to contact us for more information.


Our Storytimes combine books, music, rhymes, and movement to develop early literacy. Join us from June – August for Summer Storytime fun!

*Pattycake Place– Ages 0-24 mos. Wed. and Thurs. at 10:30

*Toddler Time– Ages 18-36 mos. Wed. and Thurs. at 11:00

* Our Storytimes are very popular.  Please choose one age appropriate session per week, so we have room for everyone in the Children’s Program Room.

Lunch Bunch – All Ages. Wed. and Thurs. at 11:30

Everybody is welcome to join us outside behind the Gazebo to enjoy stories and activities.  In case of rain, Lunch Bunch will be canceled.

Yoga for Kids - Ages 3 to 5

Enjoy stories, songs, and games that improve flexibility and coordination. This yoga class, taught by Erin Man, is perfect for little ones!

Parachute Play - Ages 2 and up

Ring around the parachute with music, games, and fun! Toddlers are invited to come play with their caregivers.

Crafter's World

Drop in for something new each week.  Get creative with different materials to make a new masterpiece every week you come!

Sign Language Club

Join MAP teacher, Charlotte Brown, to learn Sign Language in a fun and interactive way.  Kids can learn the alphabet, animals, basic phrases and more!

Summer Songfest with Jeannie Mack

Sing, dance, clap along and try your luck at a tongue-twister or two, if you dare, with interactive songs about sea creatures, sun and sand, swimming, eating ice cream cones and more!

Rainforest Reptiles

Get up close and personal with a selection of rainforest reptiles!  Learn all about alligators and crocodiles.

Free tickets will be available for Medfield Residents starting Friday, July 28 and for non-residents on Monday, July 31.  Pick up your tickets in the Children’s Room.


Storyteller, Kurt Jackson

Join our favorite storyteller and MAP teacher as he shares some of his favorite tales.  Wear your cozy PJs too!

Stuffed Animal Slumber Party

Drop in during the MEMO Concert with your favorite stuffed animal and a cozy blanket to tuck them in.  Pick them up in the morning and see pictures of all the fun and mischief they got up to during the night!

Tie Dye Day

Add a little color to your world!  Come join us for a tie dye event where you’ll create a one of a kind item with your own pattern and colors.  You bring the 100% cotton, pre-washed clothing item and we’ll provide the colors, guidance and encouragement.
