Kids Programs

Programs at the Medfield Public Library

All programs are FREE thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Medfield Library. Please respect the age limits and arrive on time. For programs that require advance sign-up, you may do so online (below), in person, or by phone. Feel free to contact us for more information.

Summer Storytimes

Pattycake Place:  Wed. & Thurs. @ 10:15 am for ages 0-24 months

Toddler Time:  Wed. & Thurs. @ 10:45 am for ages 18-36 months

These weekly storytimes are music-based and full of songs, rhymes and movement activities. They’re designed especially for babies & toddlers to enjoy with their caregivers. No registration required.

 

Lunch Bunch:  Wed. & Thurs. @ 11:30 am for all ages

This outdoor summer storytime welcomes all ages to enjoy books and an activity in Gazebo Park.  In the event of inclement weather, Lunch Bunch will be cancelled. No registration required.

 

There will be no Storytimes Aug. 28 & 29, and Sept. 4 & 5

 

We will resume our regular storytime schedule on Sept. 11, which includes Pattycake Place, Toddler Time, All Together Now, and Preschool Pageturners.

Music Makers

Enhance your little one’s love of music during this 30-minute bonding time, with songs, dance, and movement games to excite your budding musician!

 

Monday, Aug. 12 @ 10:30 – 11:00 am or 11:05 – 11:35 am

 

Ages 0-5 with an adult

Registration begins 2 weeks before the date of each program

Parachute Play

Ring around the parachute with music, games and a craft!  Toddlers are invited to come play with their caregivers.

ImagArena Building Workshop

More than a typical building workshop, ImagArena combines the spirit of an art program, the materials of a building workshop, and the framework of a video game!

Stuffed Animal Slumber Party & Storytime

Bring your favorite stuffed animal and a cozy blanket.  Listen to some bedtime stories and tuck them in.  Pick up your stuffed animal the next morning and see pictures of all the fun and mischief they got up to during the night!

Lego Club

Lego Club is back!  Challenge yourself to create different structures using the library’s collection of Legos.

smART Clubs

Incoming K-5th graders can try out our creative learning grade clubs that we do throughout the school year.

Sign Language Club

Learn Sign Language in a fun & interactive way.  Get to know the alphabet, animals, basic phrases & more!  Attendance at all dates is recommended but not required.

Kurt Jackson, Storytelling & Treasure Hunt
