Kids’ Programs

Programs at the Medfield Public Library

All programs are FREE thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Medfield Library. Programs are generally held upstairs in the Children’s Room or downstairs in the Meeting Room. During the warm months, some programs may be held outside in Warrior Park.  Advance registration is required for certain programs if space is limited.  Feel free to contact us for more information.

SUMMER READING KICKOFF

Help us Kick Off Medfield Public Library’s

2026 Summer Reading Program: Crack the Case! 

Saturday, June 13th

  • Stop by the Gazebo between 10-2 for everything you need to started Summer Reading.*
  • Visit Warrior Park between 10-12 to hang out with baby goats from Chip-In Farm.
  • Drop into the Children’s Program Room between 10-1:30 to enjoy crafts and more.

* If you can’t attend the Kickoff, you can pick up your materials at MPL anytime June 13-Aug. 31st or print them out online.

ANIMAL ADAPTATIONS WITH THE ECOTARIUM

Tuesday, June 16th

3:30—4:15 PM

Downstairs in the Meeting Room

Meet a live EcoTarium ambassador animal, explore the amazing ways it’s adapted to its ecosystem, and handle skulls, pelts, and more to get a firsthand look at evolution!

 

For Ages 8+ with a caregiver present. Caregivers will need to actively participate in order to ensure the safety of participants and animals alike.

MPL STORYTIMES

Join us in the Children’s Room on

LEGO CLUB

Join fellow Brick enthusiasts for 45 minutes of LEGO creativity and building. Each week, LEGO Club’s creations are displayed in the library for all to admire.

Weekly on Fridays

(3:15pm – 4:00pm)

 

This program is for kids ages 5-10 yrs.

MOOVE, GROOVE & LEARN

Move, Groove & Learn is currently on Summer Hiatus.

Miss Yvette from Walpole CFCE will be back in September for Music and Movement.

KIDS' YOGA

Little Yogis can join Certified Children’s Yoga Instructor, Adrienne Mandigo, for yoga and mindfulness.

Participants should bring their own Yoga Mat / Towel if possible as we have a limited amount available to loan.

TUMMY TIME

Exclusively for pre-walkers and their caregiver(s), this relaxed program is perfect for baby’s development. Includes a Q&A for caregivers with Medfield Board of Health’s Public Health Nurse Emily Dellaglio, BSN, RN
