Internet
The library offers free wireless internet available anywhere inside the library. Additionally, all desktop computers are connected to the internet.
Computers
The library offers access to 10 desktop computers. Eight computers are located on the library’s lower level, and 2 are on the children’s level on the second floor.
All computers offer access to the library catalog, to the internet, and Microsoft Office 2010. The computers are open to the public but require a Minuteman library card to log on. Anyone wishing to use a computer who does not have a library card may ask for a guest pass from the Information Desk.
Laptops
The library currently offers access to three HP mini netbook (mini laptop) computers which can be checked out for a four hour period and used anywhere inside the library. They run Windows 7 and have Microsoft Office 2010 software.
These mini laptops can be connected to full-sized keyboards, mice and computer monitors located in the two study rooms on the lower level. Patrons with their own laptops are also welcome to use these plug-in stations.
The library also has 12 Dell laptops with a 15.6 inch touchscreen display, built-in DVD drive and full-size keyboard. They are running Windows 10 and have Microsoft Office 2016 installed. They are used for library technology programs and are available for checkout for use within the library.
Printer/Copier
The library offers printing and copying on the lower level at 20¢/page for black & white and 40¢/page for color.
Fax
The library offers access to a fax machine on the lower level at $1/page.
3D Printer
The Medfield Public Library is the proud home to a Cube 2nd Generation 3D Printer and a Lulzbot Mini 3D Printer! For more info on the printers and how to use them, visit our 3D Printer Page.
Scanner
The Medfield Public Library has a scanner available for public use on the lower level of the library. Scanned documents can be saved to a flash drive or emailed to recipient.
